Allston Street Preservation Award

Last month The Narrow Gate was honored to receive a Preservation Award from the Cambridge Historical Commission for our work with Homeowner's Rehab, Inc. on 151-157 Allston Street, in Cambridge, MA. This project restored a six-family home destroyed in a nine-alarm fire to a new standard of energy efficiency, achieving LEED Platinum. We were excited last fall to share our success in the realm of sustainability (including a HERS rating of 29!) and now we're excited to receive this honor for the rest of our design.

You can read more about Allston Street and HRI's mission at the HRI/CNAHS website, or visit the Cambridge Housing Commission for a list of this year's award recipients, and some great before-and-after images of our work!

Rebecca Schofield (HRI), David Flaschenriem (TNG), and Jane Carbone (HRI) accept the Preservation Award for 151-157 Allston Street.
