The Narrow Gate recently completed the Dudley Greenville Rental Housing project on Dudley Street in Roxbury. This mixed use, transit oriented development (TOD) project on two vacant sites promises to reinvigorate this important gateway to Dudley Square.
The program includes 43 affordable units and 3,000 SF of commercial space along with space for resident services and a community room. On tight urban sites, the project is designed to provide sufficient off-street parking for residents and open space for passive recreation and family gathering. Both sites are designed to be LEED Gold and Energy Star rated.
Infilling these two prominent sites has significantly contributed to re-establishing the urban street wall of Dudley Street while enhancing the pedestrian environment of the Dudley Square environment.
