Elizabeth Stone House
Washington / Westminster
The Elizabeth Stone House has been working to serve homeless families since 1974 by resolving the issues that made them homeless – domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental illness – so that they can attain and maintain permanent housing, personal safety, and economic stability.
Our project is a new building to expand the program of Elizabeth Stone House to provide 32 units of new transitional and permanent supportive housing. The project is sited on a 44,000 sf parcel near Egleston Square in Roxbury with the main entry and “public face” on the busy Washington Street boulevard.
The ground floor of the new four story building will provide 12,000 square feet of program space including reception and waiting, multiple group meeting rooms, offices for direct service, development and administration staff and a licensed childcare center with rooftop play yard.
